Description

Tom Perkins was commissioned to carve the Pentagram designed Crafts Council logo with his own version of drawn Roman capitals. The floor stone was commissioned for the Crafts Council's new premises in Pentonville Road, London, in 1991. This is an atypical example of this maker's work in carving the design of another.

Materials and techniques

'V' incised with mallet and chisel in Nabresina limestone.
