Description
Poster for 'Crafts America', a Crafts Council exhibition held at the Crafts Council Gallery, 12 Waterloo Place, London, from 16 May to 14 July 1985. These exhibitions were organised as part of the American Festival which was staged for two weeks in London, Cardiff and Edinburgh under the auspices of the British American Arts Association. To complement Handmade Clothing from the USA, a selection from the American Craft Museum's Art to Wear touring exhibition, the work of eight Americans settled and working in England and Wales, was shown. The poster was designed Richard Hollis.
