Maker's statement

These experiments were woven by Elizabeth Minor in my workshop c.1985, to show that anything which is longer than it is wide can be material for weaving.

(These are conservative choices: it could have been spaghetti, barbed wire, railway lines...)

All the samples are of one colour (natural white) and the weave is two by two twill.

None of them were woven on a loom: all on nails or pinned to a board.
