Description

Six silver rings, one with a narrow base and a flared opening, accompanied by five small thin rings.

Materials and techniques

Silver sheet formed into seamed cylinders or cones then hammered onto wood or metal stakes to give convex or concave surfaces. Surface texture hammered or papyrus imprint then oxidised.

Represents new exploration of 3D form. Inside space of 'container'. Extension of interchangeable theme of production earrings. Exploration of rings as beads, containers, pots building bricks. Open and closed ends to forms.
