Materials and techniques
Ice was frozen in styrene moulds, then placed on model. The film was shot on a digital video camera (DV tape). The DV tape was translated onto Beta tape, this was then edited on Beta, then copied onto VHS and DVD.

Maker's statement
This film was made to support the ice jewellery displayed in the Crafts Council gallery [during the Jerwood Prize for Applied Arts]. The ice is displayed on a mannequin hand with a drip bowl. A strong image, but one loses the sense/sensation of ice against flesh...These two short pieces of film illustrate the very temporary experience of ice pieces worn on flesh.
