Maker's statement

The pieces (see also P238) represent a development of the use of drawing from decoration to drawing forms and images. The bowl is the first of its kind I've made in order that the drawing can freely express movement which is a key interest at present. In general, having established a simplicity, I am moving to complexity and introduce humour. But the idea of duality is the same.
