Description

Earthenware pot with an inclining rim, a white body with blue and yellow squares and dots.

Materials and techniques

Oxidised earthenware with matt lead sequisilicate glaze. Decorated with inlaid coils of stained clay, underglaze crayon and colours. Slab-built from rolled sheets.

It is part of a series where I was covering, or partly covering, the top of the vessel (always previously left open). Another feature of this series was that they have a back and a front, i.e. a preffered viewing position.
