Description

Oval shaped pot, and a lid with handle, red/brown stoneware with a mottled glaze.

Materials and techniques

Wheel-thrown. Base cut and ovalled at soft leather-hard stage, cut in half, a piece removed and rejoined. Raw glazed in thin green/brown over thicker white on rims. Oil fired to 1280 - 1300 deg.C under reduction.
