Maker's statement

This piece is typical of the work I have produced over the last 8-10 years. Through the use of "green" wood I am trying to produce a personal style of work which involves turning very thin vessels and allowing (and encouraging) them to warp as they so wish thereby adopting their own unique form. From experience this is not a haphazard phenomena but in fact a highly controlled operation.
