David Reekie

Brief biography

David Reekie has been at the forefront of glass sculpture since leaving Stourbridge College of Art in 1970.

He taught for ten years at North Staffs Polytechnic, passing on his expertise and knowledge of techniques to the next generation.

David has travelled the world giving workshops and lectures on lost wax glass casting and his work is held worldwide in many museums including the V&A London.

In 1985 he set up his studio in Norwich and moved to Dickleburgh Norfolk in 2010. In 2011 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Arts by Wolverhampton University.
