Description
Coloured stoneware with a porcelain path inlayed depicting a walk along the coast from Porthgain to St. Davids Head.
Materials and techniques
A clay body with the addition on oxides to give it a blue slate colour. Thrown on the potters wheel in two halves then joined and reworked on the wheel into a final piece. Porcelain has been inlayed into the surface then cut back to reveal the path. An opaque white glaze was used inside but due to the cobalt in the body it has turned blue. The work was wood fired.
