Maker's statement

Orbit is one of Ute’s signature works. It is typical of her style, playing with volume, empty space and movement until the choreography of the architectural lines and the dynamic curvatures are distilled into an evocative sculpture. Orbit is aimed to be worn in many different configurations, the wearer can choose where to enter the arm which will determine the shape of the overall piece becoming hence a unique and almost participatory work.
