Maker's statement
Capture and Weave are significant in my body of work because I made them during the first Covid 19 lockdown in 2020. Both pieces are studio originals and so they have particular importance in the continuing story of my practice. They are the first works of two new series that I am currently developing in the studio. I made the pieces one after another - first Capture and then Weave - so they are connected in time and in some ways visually, despite the fact the materials and construction methods are distinct.
