Maker's statement
This work is the completion of memories of my residency at Wheaton Arts in 2008. Taking the architectural forms and geometry encountered during my time and the objective Wheaton has in the delivery and manufacture of glass objects. This piece is a point where I have started to encapsulate three dimensional forms into my structure and taken and steps away from the emphasis on process.
Although much of my work is about wanting answers from the material and the processes I apply repetitively within the work. This piece has become a step closer to a more personal conversation and insight to memory and how occasions reflect into the work we produce.
