Maker's statement

A glass in praise of vitality, as expressed in the Dorset countryside. Opposite the Cerne Giant, a prehistoric figure cut in the chalk, the village weathercock has mounted the top, most pinnacle of the church, to salute the true patron of spring festivals. Hence the title "Patronal Festival". As on such festivals the flag of England, St George's flag, flies from the Tower.
