Maker's statement

This piece and others in the 'series' represents the begining of a freer phase, where in using more and more forign materials, such as, metals, shingle from beach, stone, sand, etc. mixed with the crushed glass. This creats a very defferent feeling material which contrasts with the pate de verre translucency in the pieces. At this stage, the controlled form of this series giudes me a stable element which emables me to play and explore with new material, texture and contrast.
