Materials and techniques

Blown 24% lead crystal, 'overfang' technique sandblasted and engraved. Up to five layers of coloured glass are built up on a bubble. When the bubble or 'embryo' has cooled the various layers are revealed through sandblasting and engraving. Then the embryo is reheated, often cased in clear galss, then blown.
