Maker's statement

Purchased from the Summer Show at Contemporary Applied Arts. Artist's statement 1992: The three-sided form is adopted for its sculptural quality and, without front or back, offers varying views. The design, which is abstract, employs positive colours and patterns like strong light and shade, and has developed from visual references in other work, such as sun-rays, exotic fish and shell forms.
