Title
Stopper for 'Spring Jar No.1'
Date
1992
Materials and techniques
Blown glass made entirely at the furnance. It has been formed on a blowing iron using components which are made and assembled whilst hot. Work like this is possible because glass is both fluid and sticky when molten. When it has cooled sufficiently, the bottom of the stopper is ground and polished before being united with the jar to complete the piece.
