The bobble bag, inspired originally from aboriginal spot paintings uses a time – consuming but simple pattern of knitting five times into the same stitch, knitting several more rows and then reducing this back to one stitch again. In this sample it is used extensively with a base of three combined yarns for an unusual attractive texture.
