Maker's statement

The shapes are cut by laser from sheets of laminate measuring 10' x 4' in various colours. Some shapes are cut and engraved with a pantograph, some are cut and engraved by hand. The shapes are linished to remove the burnt edge from the laser and the chipped edge from cutting. The edges are then bevelled on the linisher and polished.

Using templates which have been worked out before and made up by hand in a different material to keep them separated, holes are drilled in the shapes. They are then assembled with glue or nylon according to the designs. The jewellery findings are glued on to the back of the pieces and then they are carefully polished and packed.
