Materials and techniques
Texture on the paper is achieved by scratching surface of the paper when the paint is still wet. Reverse is marked with 1/4" strips and then cut. A second piece of textured painted paper is stitched to the reverse using a zig-zag pattern stitch on the sewing machine. Metallic thread is trapped between the gaps. Using this technique the piece can then be carefully folde to give a corrugated construction.
