Description
Mild steel ring inlaid with silver and red gold.
Materials and techniques
Mild steel inlaid with silver and red gold. Made from circles sawn out of steel sheet. Slots sawn from the outside towards the centre of the circle, and a thin sheet of silver or sandwich of metals hammered into the slots. These are soldered to the steel and the emiddle cut away to leave a ring. The edges are filed smooth and the whole polished.
