Maker's statement

Second brooch in a series of exploration of volume of brooch body - cutting and slicing exposing the inside of the body - making more aware of form and volume. Almost equal balance of pin and body. Relationship between these changes from piece to piece. Formalised surface manmade rather than marked or speckled in former pieces.
