Maker's statement

This piece is to me one of the most successful pieces of work that I have produced, both in the colours and imagery used. The source of the imagery is personal and fairly lighthearted - it has been influenced by my fairly recent trip to Japan. It is one of the first pieces - apart from smaller pieces of jewellery - that I have made since my return.
