Description
Round face made of brass which has been oxidised with bronzing powder, with abstract numbers and narrow hands. Gordon Burnett, 1983.
Materials and techniques
Face and numerals made of machining brass oxidised with 'cannings' bronzing powder. The hands are made of anodised pure aluminium with a small brass centre boss. All numerals are machined from solid. The face is supported on wood. The numerals are all held in place by 6 BA screws. 'Burnett' is machine engraved. Quartz 'high torque' movement.

Maker's statement
Made in early 1983 it constituted the first original piece of work I had done in some months. Very much enjoyed resolving and making the numerals which took a few weeks of investigation and many drawings before settling on the final solution.
