Description
Overlapped strips of etched metal soldered together at the base, woven together with soft iron to create a pumpkin-shaped form. Amanda Bright, 1988.
Materials and techniques
Overlapped strips of etched mild steel sheet, patinated with chemicals, oxides and acids. Hammered over series of stakes with raw-hide mallet. Strips soldered together at one point of base, and then interwoven with soft iron wire to secure in position (allow movement within piece).
