Description
Cream coloured felt rectangular base with a silver vessel, with a narrow foot and a cup extending from the base, sitting on one side of the felt base.
Materials and techniques
Fine silver, soldered with 18ct gold; combination of raising and blocking techniques. Felt is cut and dyed beige/grey.

Maker's statement
In the summer of 1999 I began a series of models of this type for private clients and the Crafts Council. It marks a departure in that the piece locates firmly into the felt (via the foot). The vessel relies on the felt for stability when filled with liquid.
