Maker's statement

A distinctive shift of emphasis from jewellery to objects. Ideas and approach to thinking about objects already existed but began to expose these more deliberately making sets of things and taking part in silver and object only exhibitions. A key piece that in more that ways than one seems to sum up my practice, interests and craft concerns. Room Temperature measures the emotional atmosphere of any room. The words on the surface where chosen based on their duality of usage to both describe the weather and an emotional feeling. From a love of the English language and all its perculiarities.
