Spherical silver jug with an opening and tiny beak shaped spout.
Materials and techniques
Britannia silver, spun, raised and soldered (two parts), with a fabricated soldered spout. Finished with pumice lumps and sanding pads to achieve satin finish.

Maker's statement
My work invites the observer to touch, play and discover hidden spaces and unexpected motion. I am driven by the desire to create evocative interactive objects which fulfil their potential whilst being handled. My research involves the morphological qualities of vessels and the process of embedding functional objects with spirit. I am fascinated by the tension between symmetrical and irregular forms and use traditional silversmithing techniques to create curious objects which raise questions of containment.
The recent 'Oil Drizzlers' are a series of jugs which are designed in such a way that oil will drizzle only from the little spout. The shapes are inspired by enchained clay scrolls discovered near the Dead Sea.
