Maker's statement

I felt this was a piece of work which most successfully brought together various strands of thought, ie. I saw it as much as a "painting" as a form, and the surface links very closely to drawings I've been working on, and photographs etc. Also, there is much more of a sense of control about the glazing and colour than previously, and I felt that the actual form was a development towards stronger and more individual shapes.
