Description
Brown stoneware garden pot with four handles and decoration with combs and rollers at the top of the pot.
Materials and techniques
Thrown and coiled (four coils added to base) stoneware. Decorated using rollers. Fired to 1300 deg.C in a wood-fired kiln. Glaze results from presence of 'fly ash' settling on exposed areas of the pot in the kiln, which gives a random effect.

I now mainly make large garden pots and this is the largest pot that I regularly make. To make bigger pots I would need help to move the pots.
