Maker's statement

Made since receiving Crafts Council Bursary (Ruskin Award) in 1986. New work incorporating both slabbed and thrown techniques. This piece represents an attempt (hopefully successfully) to make parts which are complete and authoritative, even when not in use, i.e. empty.
