Maker's statement

I only made rings 1983-85. I was asked to make them originally by Sharon Plant of "Aspects". The rings were cheap, gawdy, theatrical, big and awkward. They played on the expectations that jewellery should be compact, expensive, tasteful and a symbol of wealth and status. The rings were an off-shoot from making small objects such as spoons.
