Description
Red clay cup with an elongated handle and painted white and green stripe slip decoration, and a saucer with abstract white slip decoration.
Materials and techniques
Thrown red clay. Decoration of white slip and burnished when leather hard on the outside. Clear-glazed outside. Fired to 1100 deg.C.

Maker's statement
I like making plates, cups and saucers and have always been inspired by Cretau pottery whose handles I try to copy - they give a good balance.
