Description
Fork form wrapped in a white glazed scroll, with metal hairs attached to the bottom of the piece.
Materials and techniques
Porcelain slip-dipped, fibreglass matting, hand-built, glazed. Fork fired in a sand-filled sagger. Fired in an electric kiln. Assembled after firing, with hairs attached at this point.

I WAS ASKED BY CAA TO MAKE A GROUP OF SMALL PIECES FOR A SPECIAL FOCUS EXHIBITION IN MARCH 1998 (A VIEW OF CLAY). THEY ARE PART OF AN ONGOING INTEREST IN SMALL DOMESTIC UTENSILS, WHICH ARE INCORPORATED IN THE HORKS AND TRANSFORMED INTO SOMETHING ELSE.
