Description
Standing nude porcelain figure with one raised arm.
Materials and techniques
Handbuilt porcelain, with washes of stain fired to 1200 deg. Built from the base upwards, final workings on head, hands and feet. The body is pieced together with palm sized pieces of porcelain and pinched together. Slight washes of transparent glaze are washed over the head hands and feet.

Standing figure strongly represents the type of porcelain figure of which I have been working on for the past few years. The form and surface is clearly executed in this piece. It has evolved slowly and carefully because of the development of material research and content.
