Description

Porcelain and T-material bowl, with a textured surface achieved by a layer of iron-rich slip and two layers of glaze.

Materials and techniques

Thrown and turned using a mixture of porcelain and T material. The form is rounded and relates to the shape of the globe. The surface is achieved by a layer of iron rich slip with two layers of glaze to create a rich interaction. Fired to 1260 deg. C in an electric kiln.
