Description
Black unglazed earthenware pot, cylindrical shape with winged shaped attachments on both sides.
Materials and techniques
Unglazed earthenware clay with high manganese content. Thrown in two parts. Wings made by stabbing various shapes of wood into thick wedges of clay. Sprayed with slip of the same body and fired to 1280 deg. C.
