Description
Black unglazed earthenware pot, cylindrical shape with winged shaped attachments on both sides.
Materials and techniques
Unglazed earthenware clay with high manganese content; black. Thrown. Wings made by pressing sections of wood into soft clay and applied when leather hard. Sprayed with slip of same body and fired to 1280 deg. C.
