Description

Wall hanging depicting an abstract landscape with hillside and tree in black and orange with green background with red border.

Materials and techniques

Made from cotton drill which has been dyed with kenazol dyes. The images are photographically exposed onto silk screens and printed using dye pastes. Colours are painted using discharge painting and pigments.

Maker's statement

These were the first pieces made from a selection of long thin abstract figure drawings from which I continued to make others. These were the smallest hangings made to date. They are a pair representing female and male.
