Description
Blue and grey velvet scarf with a textured print design and abstract white wave pattern.
Materials and techniques
Special mixed fibre velvet, silk viscose velvet, screen printed textured stripe design with devore print paste to achieve devore/burn out areas. Dyed with direct brown dye. Screen printed red/orange coloured illuminate discharge in repeat rectangle design. Steamed. Dip dyed again in direct brown dye solution. Finally dry cleaned to 'fix dyes'. Edges of scarf hand rolled.

1995: This scarf was produced as part of my Autumn/Winter collection '94 for Chelsea Crafts Fair; it is designed and printed in such a way that the scarf can be repeated exactly like the sample for repeat orders.
