Maker's statement
I have a mixed response to my paper products. At shows people cannot believe its paper and are intrigued as to its strength and durability. Buyers are not sure whether their customers are ready for it yet. Since my work appeared at the Crafts Council in 'Satellites of Fashion', I have designed a scarf for Shirin Guilds Spring. Summer 2000 collection. The yarn hard at work developing easier to use paper yarns which I feel do not have the same raw quality of real paper, but it is certainly going a long way to helping paper because a viable option for clothing once more.
