Description

Rectuangular-shaped tapestry with section folded at top for a hanging rail and tassles at the bottom. Predominantly cream with an abstract pattern with light and dark grey 'chequerboard' square effect near the base.

Materials and techniques

Inlay technique. Mercerised cotton (2/20's) for the warp with a slub silk weft. The inlay threads are a mixture of cotton and silk. Woven on a 16-shaft table loom.
