Folding table with a birch top, ash legs and an aluminium and stainless steel frame.

Materials and techniques

The top is made of birch aero-ply, the legs of ash. The frame is made of aluminium and stainless steel, with low-tech bending enabling simple folding.

Maker's statement

1996: The piece expresses very well my philosophy of design. As well as being practical and functional, it incorporates interesting and elegant solutions to functional and production problems. Its appearance and form as a whole and in terms of detailing are a direct response to amswering these aspects. There is nothing extra! Everything is for a function but with aesthetic consideration, this also of course being a function.
