Stool made up of three wooden legs joined together to form the body, covered in red wool felt, with white stitching around the edges to join the shapes of the fabric around the frame.
Materials and techniques
Laser cut wooden frame, woollen upholstery. Three identical legs bolted together to make one seat.

Maker's statement
This stool was part of a collection called "furniture as pictograms" (first time exhibited at the RCA degree show 1995). An attempt to visualise 'seat' and sitting surface in a very clear way. Cartoon, architype and toy-like were key words. Still leaving space for the user to have associations.
