Description
Long rectangular base with seven removable lids, constructed from naturally weathered tulip tree and canary whitewood.
Materials and techniques
Tulip and reclaimed wood. Tulip is Tulip Tree or Canary whitewood from North America; reclaimed wood is naturally weathered, mainly softwood of different varieties, collected from several UK coastline locations. Made using table saw and hand tools only. Utilising very basic construction. All joints glued, woodworm and preservative treated. Finish comprises whitewash, propriety sealer, sanded and waxed.
