Maker's statement

I think that this is a typical product of my workshop. I like simple designs which do not strive to demonstrate how clever the craftsman can be. I have never claimed to be highly original, and I am sure one can trace various 'influences' in this particular piece. All I ever hope for is a degree of orginality in the work, and something of myself. Possibily Japan had something to do with this one.
