(This) woven textile sample (was) made as a development study for the works Hidden and Wallflower. It…can be used to demonstrate the development of the textile surface and the way in which the materials reflect the feel of the fragmented wallpaper (from 18th century Cornish stately home, Godolphin House). The making process for this piece is unique. The woven sample shows the relationship between (industrial) digital manufacturing and (oneoff) designer maker methods: designing and making through the use of computer software and the digital jacquard loom, with a hands on control over the material integrity and the making process.
