In this 2015 First Decade interview, American-born textile artist Kaffe Fassett talks about his discovery of knitting and the rise in popularity of the medium in the 70s and 80s. He discusses the emergence of ‘knit-outs’ in America, where crowds would fill city parks to knit and exchange techniques.
